Comar CSB 200

The CSB 200 is a low cost AIS transponder, designed specifically for the Leisure Marine and Fishing Boat market. It meets the new Class "B" standard that allows vessels that are not required to fit Class "A" units to voluntarily fit an AIS transponder. It enables boats sailing in busy shipping lanes to automatically transmit their current position, course and speed to other vessels and shore stations within VHF range.

Installation is quick and simple. The CSB 200 requires a 12vDC power source, and connection to an external VHF aerial and GPS antenna. The vessels initial static information is programmed via a PC by
Y-tronic.

The CSB 200 also contains a dual channel synthesised AIS receiver thus once connected to a compatible electronic charting system capable of accepting standard NMEA 0183 VDM AIS sentences other vessels fitted with AIS, for example Yacht-AIS Transponder.

The CSB 200 has achieved BSH type approval and is now available!
